The weather forecast for Sunday 12th June is for a dry and sunny and everything is ready for an exciting 2022 REX PET HOTEL Flying Fortress Stages. The 11th running of this popular event has attracted a full entry of 70 very competitive crews, (and a small number of Reserves who may not been able to get a run).
They will be led away by last year’s runner up Scott Renshaw in his trusty Subaru, this time with co-driver Tom Spencer. [Last years winners Steve Finch and Sam Fordham [Fiesta R5] were a late withdrawal due to gearbox issues] Competition for the victory will be tough because many of the crews seeded in the top 10 have won similar events in the past. They include David Longfellow & Daniel Ward (Subaru Impreza) who won this event in 2018 and 2019; Dave Welch accompanied by Emma Morrison, (Subaru Impreza) who won here in 2016 and David McMullan / Marc Melhuish (Mitsubishi Evo) who were victors at Fulbeck last year. However, success at this venue is very reliant on precise driving in the tight and twisty sections of the venue and above all avoiding the kerbs!
Over the past 18 months the landowner has made a considerable investment to refurbish the smooth gravel roads in the woods and this has allowed us to provide some additional and different stage routes

The seeded entry list is published in the Competitor section of this website and, as someone pointed out, looking at the top 10 seeded entries there is a chance that the winning driver might be called Dave!

Again, a reminder that this venue is part of a Private Estate and that the Flying Fortress Stages is strictly a non-spectator event with no access other than to Competitors and their designated support crew, Marshals and Officials.
